Back from Rome

Wed Apr 27, 2005, 11:46 PM

I'm just back from Rome, where I stood at the First Communion of my second cousin (for those who wonder, in our family we're all Catholic, but that's kind of normal for Italians to be). I was mildly bewildered at the changes the ceremony underwent since I stood at my own, but I guess it's just more proof that I'm not growing any younger :cries: Anyway, it was nice to visit family other than the immediate for once. I also managed to make a decent movie with my cousin's husband's (the Communion boy's father) videocamera, and I'm glad they're going to have a memento of that day.

My cousin (who is a good 14 years older than me and is the mother of the boy of 9 and a girl of 5) once more invited me for a longer stay in Rome, to go around and visit the town, because even for them who live there, Rome still holds misteries! I just might take her up to her word this time, since my hubby has never been to the Urbe for more than 2 days in a row. With our digital camera's newly expanded memory, I could finally run wild and take all the pics I've always wanted to take in Rome. I bet it would give me plenty of inspiration to review the part of Green Palace which is all set in Rome!

Anyway, that's enough babbling about it for now! ^^; At the moment I am:

- reading too much fanfiction
- wearing out the "Chamber of Secrets" PC game I got myself at a sale ^^;
- carefully reading and rereading "Gold Hussy" to decide which scene I should draw for Silverr :frustrated: (too many nice ones to pick from!)
- inking an Akshanty'uan piece with Xar and Mel in it
- working on Zaret's "political" profile for the next Akshanty'uan concept

That's enough I hope... :work:

Till next time! :salute:

^^ Oh you can always critizise something about my pictures.. actually I like such comments a lot more than those 'Ohh wow, great pic' comments :)
I think I should comment some of your pictures, too. Though currently I have no time.. and the comp of my parents is like deadly slow.

So I'll do it in a few weeks, when I'm back at home and have my own comp back...

I can only be happy that you find any use in my comments. Don't worry about commenting back, it's appreciated of course (as any comment, but even more so from an artist I like very much like you). And you know, it actually takes a 2nd, 3rd, nth look at your pieces to put in a helpful comment... ;) :hug:
